Team Tampa Bay
Ahhhh its time for some sports talk. Now not to bash Tampa, but we know we're a smaller market city, we get it, Tampa just isn't there yet. Although Tampa is considered on the smaller scale we somehow still have every major sport, a National Football team, a National Hockey team, and a Major League Baseball team.
While I know sports might not be for everyone they are still a top attraction for major (and smaller) market cities.
Let's start with our National Football League team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, also known as the Bucs. The Bucs home stadium is known as Raymond James, located off Dale Mabry Highway. Now, let me just be real for a minute, it's hot in Tampa, like really hot and football is played outdoors (most of the time). The Bucs, unfortunately, are not the best football team in the league, and because of this and our year-round summer-like weather, I personally won't be attending any games in time soon. The Bucs season will run through the end of December unless some miracle happens and they make the playoffs stay tuned!

Now for something more up my ally... hockey, because it's indoors and because my family is season ticket holders 😀 I know it's hard to believe Tampa has an ice hockey team but we do, The Tampa Bay Lightning! Their home base is in downtown Tampa at Amalie Arena. The Lightning have gained a great following over the last few seasons drawing sell-out crowds for many home games Each season the Lightning have 42 home games for fans to attend. Whether you understand hockey or not the Lightning on a good time for people who attend games. The Lightning season runs through early April 2020 with the playoffs following later that month. According to NBC Sports, they are a favorite to win the 19-20 Stanley Cup.

Now over to Saint Petersburgh for our major league baseball team, the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays call Tropicana Feild their home across the bridge from Tampa Bay. There has been and is still lots of talk about a future relocation with the finial home field still undecided. Like the Bucs, the Rays don't have a large fan base, mostly because the team isn't in a good enough and with the ongoing debate of location. However, like I said above some tourists come to town specifically for sports so regardless of how bad the team is or the location of the game, the Rays stadium is still a fun place to visit. OH, did I mention it was indoors 😀 Also because the team isn't very good tickets are fairly cheap and easy to get. The Rays upcoming 2020 season will run from late March to October.
