Restaurant Spotlight: Oxford Exchange

If you are an avid reader of the Tampa blog you know my favorite thing to discuss. If you don't, hi my name is Jenna and I love to talk about food. Because of my love for food, I thought it would be fun to highlight a personal favorite restaurant of mine from the bay area.

My first restaurant highlight is going to Oxford Exchange. Now before I tell you all the things I love about Oxford, thats what the cool kids call it, let's have a little history lesson.

Oxford exchange is located on Kennedy Boulevard, right across from the University of Tampa which used to be the home to the Tampa Bay hotel of Mr. Henry B. Plant. Oxford Exchange was many things before it was Oxford Exchange such as a place for local retailers. It wasn't until Brother and Sister, Allison Adams and Blake Casper discovered a lack of place in their hometown. It wasn't until September 2012 that Oxford finally opened in Tampa.

As I mentioned up above, Oxford has more to offer than food (we'll get to the food, I promise). In the physical restaurant, The Shop & Bookstore.  Attached to the dining area, Oxford has a shop with many little trinkets for customers to browse while they are waiting to be seating. There is also a variety of books for customers to potential take home, or maybe squeeze in a chapter while they wait.

If you've made it this far, congratulation, it's time, let's talk FOOD.
Oxford offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is open from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm 7 days a week. On weekdays breakfast is offered from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, but on the weekend Oxford offers brunch from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

So, what should you order? Well, in all honesty, you can't go wrong with any menu item BUT, if I had to choose one item, it for sure would be the French Toast. It's the perfect measurement of sweet and fluffy. Another recommendation I have would say, try the TEA. Oxford is known for there freshly made specialty teas, such as Blueberry Pomogranted green tea that you can get hot or iced.
